Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Vanowen wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. This statement explains what we have done to make vanowen.co (the "Site") accessible, what we know could be better, and how to tell us about a problem.
1. Our approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for accessible websites. We treat accessibility as ongoing work and will keep improving the Site as we find issues or make changes.
2. What we have done
- Text and links have enough contrast against the background to meet WCAG requirements.
- Every link and control can be reached and used with a keyboard, and shows a visible outline when it has focus.
- Images have text descriptions, and pages use headings and landmarks so screen readers can move around them.
- Pages can be zoomed to 400% without losing content or features.
- Links that open in a new tab say so to screen reader users.
- Nothing on the Site flashes, and nothing has a time limit.
3. Animation
The home page shows the Vanowen image behind a slowly moving haze, which clears where you move your pointer or finger. The pause button at the bottom of the page, shown as two vertical bars, stops all movement and shows the image clearly. Pressing it again, now shown as a play triangle, starts the movement again. The button can be reached with a keyboard, and screen readers announce it as "Pause animation" or "Play animation". If your device is set to reduce motion, the page starts paused. The animation is decorative, and the image has a text description for screen readers.
4. Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers, and with the screen readers and zoom features built into common operating systems. The animation needs a browser feature called WebGL. If your browser does not support it, the image is shown without animation.
5. Known limitations
We check the Site with automated accessibility tools and by hand, but we have not tested every combination of browser, device, and assistive technology. If something does not work for you, please tell us.
6. Feedback and help
If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, or need information from it in another format, email us at studio@vanowen.co. It helps to tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, if you know. We aim to reply within five business days.
You can also write to us at Vanowen Inc., 1521 Concord Pike, Suite 301-209, Wilmington, DE. 19803.
7. About this statement
We prepared this statement on 19 October 2026, based on our own review of the Site. We will update it when the Site changes.
